Shade check and cleaning
We note your starting shade and clean the teeth, because whitening only works on a clean surface.

Gum protection
A protective layer is placed along the gums so the gel only touches the teeth.

Whitening gel
The whitening gel is applied in two or three rounds.

After-care
You get a short list of what to avoid for 48 hours, and we compare the new shade with the old one.
Before you book
- Whitening does not change the colour of crowns, veneers or fillings.
- Some sensitivity for a day or two is normal.
- Results usually last six months to two years, depending on how much tea, coffee and tobacco you have.
Is whitening safe for the enamel?
Yes, when done in the clinic with the gums protected. The gel removes stains inside the enamel without wearing it down.
How white will my teeth get?
Usually a few shades lighter than now. Very grey teeth, or teeth stained by medicines, respond less. We tell you that at the consultation.
Can I whiten before a wedding or event?
Book at least a week before, so any sensitivity has settled and there is time for a second round if you want it.
